Outbreaks and Imported Food

OutbreaksResearch conducted by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) shows a rise in U.S. foodborne disease outbreaks caused by imported food in 2009 and 2010, and also reveals that nearly half of the outbreaks implicated foods imported from areas which previously had not been associated with outbreaks. The results will be compared to information from 2011 to detect any possible trends.
